panchayat is coordinately conducting the project of ‘Eco restoration

of the coastal ecosystems for biodiversity conservation, sustainable

livelihood and disaster mitigation in SN Puram panchayat.

The inauguration of completion of the first phase of the particular project

was held in Vekkode beach at 10:30 am on 16th September 2021. As

part of this, a webinar was held on Google Meet

(https//meet.google.com/eyu-adai-ezn) at 7:30pm on the same day

on the topic ‘Principle and practices for Eco restoration of coastal

ecosystem in Kerala. 93 beneficiaries attended the webinar.

Welcome speech was delivered by Shri. M.S.Mohan-President of SN

Puram Grama Panchayat. The program was chaired by E.T. Taison

Master-MLA of Kaipamangalam constituency. The inaugural address was

given by Shri.Saji Cheriyan-Minister of fisheries of Kerala. The thematic

talk was done by Amitha Bachan.K.H-Member of IUCN CEM. The

program ended at 9:15 pm.

QUIZ ON NSS DAY

Responses: 110

NSS Day was celebrated on 24th September. The National Service Scheme is an organization

overseen by the Government of India. It was started in 1969. The organization was

established with the aim of inculcating a sense of service to the community among students

and youth. The volunteers from the pain and palliative and social entrepreneurship groups

conducted a quiz on this very day for the people to know more about the National Service

Scheme organization. The quiz was conducted through Google forms

There were 105 responses. The participants who have scored more than 60% were awarded

with E-certificates.

       A Webinar on NSS DAY NSS Aspiration among Students was conducted online through Google Meet (https://meet.google.com/adh-urar-xba) on 24.09.2021 @ 7:30 PM. As part of the NSS day Celebration, The chief guest of the day was AS Priyanka Assistant professor Department of Commerce, SN College Nattika.70 participants including NSS volunteers, two program officers named Dr.Princy Francis and Dr.Ansar E.B had participated in this webinar.NSS volunteer named Akhila anchored the webinar. The prayer was delivered by the NSS volunteer Vismaya. Welcome speech was delivered by Ms.Mumthahina followed by a presidential address by Dr.A Biju, college principal. The introductory speech was delivered by Dr.Princy Francis and felicitation by Dr.Ansar E.B NSS program officers. Chief guest AS Priyanka shared her NSS experiences. She is very much proud of their NSS team and she awesomely explained the glory of NSS and encouraged all the volunteers to become such great volunteers. The webinar was ended with a vote of thanks by Anaswara.

Outcome: It helps to get new information about palliative care and the activities taken by palliative care.

            The first session(30/08/2021), introduction to palliative care conducted by pallium India was lit by Dr. M R Rajagopal sir. The introduction of palliative made effective knowledge about activities taken by Palliative care. The session begins from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The main topic in the session was,

• what is palliative care?

• what is the aim of palliative?

• what is the activity of palliative?

• in which condition palliative care is needed

• Main miseries in life

• the types of miseries

• what can we do through palliative care?

• the core values in palliative care

• the helping mentality needed for a volunteer in palliative care

Session-01 was ended by sharing a video about a patient’s miserable life And how pallium India helping them to come back to their life.

On the Third day, 1/09/2021 of the virtual training program on the subject Psycho-Social Support was lead by Bharath Mohan sir. (Social Officer, Pallium India) From 05:00 Pm to 07:00 Pm. Today’s topic can be summarized and concluded into the points :

• Evaluate our interventions

• Assess how the patients and families are benefited

• Assessments have to be revised and updated

• Reach out for help, if needed

• There is an art and science in psychosocial care just as in medicine.

On the 4th day of the virtual training program on 2/09/2021, faculty - Ms. Shobha. R.S madam

Conducted on the topic Home-Based Palliative Care from 5:00 Pm to 7:00 pm. Included topics on Home-based Care. All aspects of Homecare was covered during the speech and convinced the Involvement and teamwork of Volunteers, Social workers, Nurses; Doctors, Physiotherapist.

The last day of the virtual training program 3/09/2021 was hosted by the faculty Mr. Babu

Abraham sir,(Manager Advocacy Pallium India Trust) on the topic PalliativeCare & Community has given a brief description of The role of community in the field of palliative care. The fifth day dealt with the points that include Total Care, importance & responsibility of the community in PalliativeCare, usual medical mode, NNPC (Neighborhood network in palliative care ), Compassionate Community Care, SANS PAIN( Students Against Needless suffering &pain).

Outcome: The webinar helped to get more knowledge about the topic "Mont real Protocol keeping us,

our food and vaccines cool". Reminded us that not only is ozone crucial

for life on the earth but that we must continue to protect the ozone layer for future

generations.

A webinar was held on 16th September 2021 from 3pm to3:45 pm initiated by Agriculture, Water

and energy wing On the topic "MONTREALPROTOCOL-Keeping us, our food and vaccines cool"

through Google meet (https://meet.google.com/ibp-uvju-ukt). The programme started with an NSS

song by AvaniNandha followed by a welcome speech by Ruksana. After that Dr Ansar EB, one

of the NSS programme officers introduced a resource person. The resource person was NSS

volunteer Ardhra TA (B.Voc Fish processing technology), Keynote address was given by the

resource person. The presentation by Adhra was really helpful and very informative to students

who participated in the webinar. After that Dr Princy Francis, another among the NSS

programme officers give a felicitation speech and feedback was given by Anjana Rajesh. The

programme ended with a vote of thanks by Anmol N. Anchoring was done by Pratheeksha PS.The

the programme was going in a fine manner. More than 25+NSS Volunteers attended the webinar  And

ended by 3:45pm.
